Upload your digital photo for printing onto paper or canvas and framed if required

The following information applies whether you are uploading your photos to have them printed on paper or printed on canvas.  All of our photo printing is done on our Epson 7600 large format printer using Epson UltracChrome pigment  inks guaranteed to last 75 years.

Please remember the quality of your image is determined by the size and megapixels of your original photo. The more pixels, the clearer your enlargement will be. The  MegaPixel size of a camera is the MB size of the output file when the camera is set to the highest MegaPixel setting. So for all intesive purposes,  MegaPixel camera size and MB file size are interchangable.

What quality print can I expect from my camera?

The chart below is designed to help you answer this question. We've assembled a list of common digital camera sizes and print sizes, then coded them with the dpi you'll be able to print at for each size along with a color coding that tells you the quality you can espect from a print of that size.  For example, looking at the chart below, with a 12.7MP camera, you can make a 24" x 16" print that at 182 dpi and expect excellent print quality.

The ratings are based on our experience of what a typical photgrapher would ecpect, and are meant to be a guide.  Good exposure, focus, lenses and depth of fields are assumed.   What quality level you'll  find acceptable can vary based on your taste and the picture being printed.  For critical applications, you will need to do your own testing.
